The Faculty of Science organizes its alumni meet Confluentia-2023

The Faculty of Science organized its alumni meet Confluentia-2023 on 06 th May
2023, for the students of passed-out batches of years 2015 – 2022. The major objectives of this
event were:
a. To develop a sense of belongingness among the alumni students for their alma-mater
institute.
b. To make the alumni reconnect with their batch mates, rekindle connections and
acquaintances as well as to celebrate their success and various achievements.
c. To make currently existing students interact with their successful seniors from the earlier
passed-out batches so that they must feel motivated and get some directions for their
future goals.
The program started with the inaugural brief by Dr. Priyanka Verma and Dr. M. Asim,
Assistant Professor, Faculty of Science, who welcomed the audience. Nearly, more than 60
alumni belonging to various UG/PG and Doctoral programs of FOSC attended the meet. Prof.
(Dr.) Lakhwinder Singh, Dean, Faculty of Science, Prof. (Dr.) Manpreet Arora, Head,
Alumni Association and Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar, respectable Pro Vice-Chancellor (Admin),
SGTU addressed the alumni gathering and explained the importance of reconnecting via such
alumni meets to exchange experiences. During the individual introduction moments, many
alumni shared their experiences from their professional and social life. They also interacted well
with the existing students and guided them about various opportunities related to their study
domains. Fun activities were also organized to lighten up the atmosphere and to ensure better
interaction amongst the alumni. Later, the alumni students were presented with gifts as tokens of
love. Finally, Dr. Anjaneyulu Bendi, Head, of the Department of Chemistry delivered a vote of thanks.
He offered heartfelt respect and gratitude to the present alumni on behalf of the Faculty of
Science, SGT University for gracing the occasion with their esteemed presence.
