Under the aegis of the School of Life Sciences, JNU, and the Indian Academy of Neuroscience organizes a workshop

Students of MSc Neurosciences and Neurotechnology, 2nd Semester, attended a one-day Workshop on the topic “From Neurons to Behaviour”.
The workshop was organized under the aegis of the School of Life Sciences, JNU, and the Indian Academy of Neuroscience.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Vibha M Jha, Head of Paramedical Sciences, FAHS.
The students got an opportunity to hear a keynote talk by eminent scientist, Dr. Anirban Basu from National Brain Research Centre, Gurugram
They also got a chance to interact with some eminent neuroscientists at the School of Life Sciences, JNU. Further, they visited the state-of-art facilities of Neuroscience in SLS, JNU.
The students enhanced their learning from the talks and laboratory sessions/demonstrations given by various research scholars on the techniques of Neuronal arborization, Stereotaxic surgery, Cryo-sectioning, Polysomnographic recordings of sleep and wakefulness, Polysomnographic recordings of epileptic seizures, cognitive learning techniques like the Morris water maze, Open field test and contextual fear conditioning.
The students were accompanied by Dr. Vibha M Jha, Head of Paramedical Sciences Department, FAHS.
