Grand Inauguration of the 27th Indian Prosthodontic Society PG Convention at SGT University
The 27th Indian Prosthodontic Society (IPS) PG Convention was inaugurated in a grand ceremony today at SGT University, Gurugram. Running from April 11th to 13th, 2025, the convention has brought together postgraduate students, distinguished academicians, and dental professionals from across the nation, promising three days of academic excellence, innovation, and professional growth.
Shri Rao Narbir Singh, Hon’ble Cabinet Minister of the Government of Haryana, graced the event as the Chief Guest. In his inspiring speech, Shri Singh encouraged young postgraduates to pursue their careers with dedication, perseverance, and unwavering commitment to ethical practice. His words energized the audience, setting an aspirational tone for the days ahead.
The occasion was further honored by the presence of Shri Manmohan Singh Chawla, Managing Trustee of SGT University, as the Guest of Honour. He congratulated the organizers and participants, encouraging students to take full advantage of the learning opportunities offered by the convention.
The event commenced with a warm welcome address by Dr. Omkar Shetty, who extended heartfelt greetings to all dignitaries, delegates, and participants. Following this, Dr. Jangala Hari, Secretary of the Indian Prosthodontic Society, provided an overview of the Society’s accomplishments over the past year, highlighting milestones that reflect its commitment to advancing the field of prosthodontics.
In her presidential address, Dr. Shilpa Shetty, President of the Indian Prosthodontic Society, emphasized the importance of sustainability, innovation, and a forward-thinking approach in dental education and practice—echoing this year’s convention theme. She urged postgraduate students to embrace new technologies and sustainable solutions as they shape the future of prosthodontics.
The inauguration ceremony concluded with a gracious vote of thanks delivered by Dr. Bhupender Yadav, Organizing Secretary, who acknowledged the contributions of the dignitaries, organizing committee, and enthusiastic participants.
