Indian Army Inducts Robotic Dogs to Boost Surveillance and Logistics Operations
New Delhi, January 14: The Indian Army has made a significant technological advancement by acquiring 100 robotic dogs, officially known as Multi-Utility Legged Equipment (MULEs), to enhance its operational capabilities. This strategic initiative aims to improve surveillance and logistics, particularly in high-risk and challenging terrains where traditional methods may endanger human soldiers.
Equipped with advanced features such as thermal cameras and sensors, these robotic dogs can perform real-time surveillance, gather intelligence, and transmit crucial data to operators. Their deployment is particularly important in mountainous regions or areas with suspected enemy activity, where they can provide situational awareness without putting soldiers at risk.
