Fresh Snowfall Charms Himachal and Uttarakhand Hills

The high-altitude regions of Himachal Pradesh and Uttarakhand experienced fresh snowfall on Wednesday, bringing smiles to locals and excitement among tourists.

In Himachal Pradesh, areas including Lahaul and Spiti, Kinnaur, Kullu, and the famous Rohtang Pass received a fresh layer of snow. The white blanket over the mountains transformed the valleys into picturesque winter landscapes. Temperatures dropped sharply, with mercury dipping two to seven degrees below freezing in several tribal regions. Mid and lower hills also recorded light rainfall, adding to the chill in the air.

Meanwhile, Uttarakhand’s Badrinath and surrounding high-altitude areas in Chamoli and Rudraprayag districts witnessed snowfall and light rain. The peaks near Badrinath turned white again, offering mesmerizing views for visitors. The recent snowfall has not only boosted tourism but also marked the early onset of winter in northern India.

Locals welcomed the snowfall, hoping for a strong tourist season ahead as travelers head to these scenic hill destinations to enjoy the snow-covered views.
