SGT University healthcare team providing services during senior citizens health camp in New Delhi
SGT University participated in a Mega Health Check-up Camp for Senior Citizens organised at Punjab Kesari Headquarters in New Delhi, extending comprehensive healthcare services to members of the community.
The initiative brought together healthcare professionals from multiple disciplines to provide senior citizens with access to essential medical consultations and screening services at a single location. The camp covered several areas of healthcare, including dental care, eye care, ENT, orthopaedics, general medicine and nutrition.
The Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University, played an important role in the outreach programme by providing dental consultations, oral cancer screening and dental treatment. The university’s Mobile Dental Van supported the initiative by enabling healthcare professionals to provide services directly at the camp venue.
The dental team also focused on preventive healthcare and awareness, helping participants understand the importance of regular oral examinations and timely intervention, particularly among senior citizens.
Alongside dental services, the availability of specialists from other healthcare disciplines provided participants with an opportunity to address multiple health concerns during the camp. Eye examinations, ENT consultations, orthopaedic assessments, general medical consultations and nutritional guidance formed part of the comprehensive healthcare services offered during the initiative.
The camp reflected the importance of accessible and preventive healthcare, particularly for senior citizens who may require regular medical monitoring and specialised attention. Such community-based initiatives also help bridge the gap between healthcare institutions and the people they serve.
Through its participation, SGT University reaffirmed its commitment to community engagement and socially responsible healthcare. The initiative provided an opportunity to extend the university’s academic and clinical expertise beyond the campus while contributing to the health and wellbeing of the wider community.
