SGT University Signs MoU with Minerva Academy
SGT University has entered into a new collaboration with Minerva Academy with the successful signing of a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU), marking a significant step towards strengthening opportunities in sports, athlete development, sports science and physiotherapy.
The MoU aims to establish a platform for collaboration between the two institutions in areas including high-performance athlete development, sports science, physiotherapy, research, education and knowledge exchange. The partnership is expected to bring together expertise from the fields of football, healthcare, sports performance and academics.
SGT University was honoured to welcome Mr Ranjit Bajaj, Director, Minerva Academy, for the MoU signing ceremony. His presence marked an important occasion in the development of the partnership and highlighted the shared focus on creating opportunities for athletes through an integrated approach to sports and education.
The ceremony was held in the esteemed presence of Mr Amrit Singh Chawla, Governing Body; Dr Atul Nasa, Pro Vice Chancellor; Mr Devendra Kumar, Registrar; Prof. G. L. Khanna, Advisor; Prof. Dr Pooja Anand, Dean, School of Physiotherapy; and Dr Piyush Singh, Professor, School of Physiotherapy.
The collaboration is designed to connect practical sports training with scientific and academic expertise. Through joint initiatives, the partnership can provide opportunities for research, knowledge sharing and the development of approaches supporting athlete performance, fitness, rehabilitation and overall sporting development.
The collaboration also reflects SGT University’s focus on building meaningful industry and institutional partnerships that connect academic learning with real-world applications.
By bringing together football, physiotherapy, sports science, education and research, the MoU creates a framework for future initiatives aimed at contributing to the development of athletes and the wider sports ecosystem.
