The Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology organized the Oral Cancer Awareness Campaign.

In continuation of the ORAL CANCER AWARENESS CAMPAIGN organized by Dept of Oral Medicine and Radiology(Advanced Stomato-Diagnostician Association), all the non-teaching employees of SGT University were called for the Oral Precancer screening camp on 28th February 2023 in Dept. of Oral Medicine and Radiology B-block from 10.00 am onwards. A total of 72 Patients were screened, out of which 17 were identified with oral precancerous lesions. 3 lesions were treated with laser ablation by BIOLASE laser. This screening helped them educate and made them aware of oral health & ill effects of tobacco usage which causes oral precancer and cancer. The program was conceptualized by Dr. Astha Chaudhry, Professor and Incharge, Dept of OMR, and executed by Dr. Puneeta Vohra(Professor), Dr. Vishesh Yadav(Associate Professor), and Dr. Srividya(Assistant Professor).
