Department of Clinical Psychology, Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, SGT University organized a 𝗖𝗥𝗘 𝗪𝗲𝗯𝗶𝗻𝗮𝗿 𝗶𝗻 𝗰𝗼𝗹𝗹𝗮𝗯𝗼𝗿𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝘄𝗶𝘁𝗵 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗥𝗲𝗵𝗮𝗯𝗶𝗹𝗶𝘁𝗮𝘁𝗶𝗼𝗻 𝗖𝗼𝘂𝗻𝗰𝗶𝗹 𝗼𝗳 𝗜𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗮 and Positive Psychology Interventions in Clinical Psychology. Positive psychology is a branch of psychology that tries to improve people’s quality of life by focusing on their strengths and assisting them in developing positive personality qualities. The speakers in the webinar came from renowned universities and institutions such as IBHAS, PGI Chandigarh, AIIMS New Delhi, and LGBRIMH Tezpur. SGT University’s Vice-Chancellor Professor Dr. O. P. Kalra and Pro-Vice-Chancellor, Professor Dr. Navdeep Singh Tung inaugurated the two-day webinar. Department of Applied Psychology, University of Delhi Professor Dr. S. P. K. Jena and Department of Psychiatry Head, SGT University Professor Dr. V. P. Mahla concluded the webinar with a Valedictory session. The webinar focused on Positive Psychology Interventions that can be used in clinical settings, further in the webinar, it was discussed that Positive psychology is the field of psychology that aims to improve the quality of life and works on the strengths of individuals and helps them build positive individual traits. It encourages people to discover and nurture their character strengths rather than correcting their shortcomings. The experts discussed Gratitude Intervention, Mindfulness, Compassion Focus Psychotherapies, and Youth Resilience Interventions, among other themes in Positive Psychology.
