SGT College of Pharmacy organizes a Seminar cum awareness drive on tuberculosis (TB).
SGT College of Pharmacy under the “Association for safe medication” and “Pharma innovation and incubation” organized a Seminar cum awareness drive on Tuberculosis (TB): THE WALKING TIME BOMB in TV studio B-block, SGT University on Friday.
The event was convened by Prof (Dr) Vijay Bhalla Dean SGT COP and coordinated by advisors Prof(Dr) Sushma Chaturvedi, Dr. Vaibhav Walia, Dr. Ritu Mishra, Dr. Shweta Mishra, and co-advisors Dr. Farah Deeba, Ms. Sonika Shrivastava. Dr. Atul Nasa, Pro Vice-Chancellor enlightened the audience with regulatory affairs of Anti TB drugs. The event aimed to create awareness among students about tuberculosis, diagnosis, prevention, and treatment in high burdened countries.
The event included three programs, mainly a guest lecture by distinguished speaker Dr. Khalid Umer Khayyam, HOD Epidemiology and, Public Health District, TB Officer, National Institute of TB & Respiratory Diseases, New Delhi. This was followed by Nukkad Natak by students of SGTCOP, and a sensitization and awareness drive in front of SGT Hospital, SGT University, Gurugram. Dr. Khalid Umer Khayyam provided insight about the government policies for the elimination of TB by 2025.
