A meeting with villagers and Sarpanches of Sultanpur and Kaliawas by SGT University Samajik Vikas SGT ka Prayas Outreach Coordinators

Samajik Vikas SGT ka Prayas, SGT University outreach activity’s coordinators, paid a visit to two
villages, Sultanpur and Kaliawas, to meet their sarpanches- Mr. Sombir and Kamlesh Yadav and villagers
to set up libraries in their villages. Dr. Sunil Dular, Dr. Sarju Devi (Head Coordinators), Neha Sharma
(Assistant Professor), and Mr. Sunil Jaglan (Outreach Advisor) met with villagers and sarpanches on
Ambedkar Jayanti and announced a new thought towards education by setting up a new library in the
village. A community centre was selected for the library in both villages.
Mr.Sunil Jaglan told the villagers about the importance of education, discussed their problems, and asked
them to educate themselves. He told SGT University will help them in each section to develop their
villages. He quoted the thoughts of Dr. Bheem Rao Ambedkar. “Education is that which makes men
fearless, teaches unity, makes them understand their birthright, and teaches a man to struggle and fight for
freedom.”
Ms. Neha Sharma interacted with the young girls and women and discussed their interests. Mostly women
were interested in sewing, fashion designing, computer learning, and speaking skills. That was a very
interactive session with them, and we are hoping for success in a new direction initiated by SGT
University.
