Haryana bureaucrat Varsha Khangwal, currently working as additional director of information and public relations, government of Haryana recently penned her first book on poetry named “In the name of love and god”.

The book deals with the subject of life, love, death, friendships and spirituality. The most intriguing subject of this book is of death and how a person is trying to find the meaning of life and his true self.

In the very beginning of the journey the book talks about death and try to come on a conclusion what it looks like after death soon it talks about life, loneliness and love and questions everything in the way while keeping the faith in almighty giving readers a rather spiritual or mystical experience. Towards the end the author wrote about love, women and friendships fabricating the words into a wholesome experience.

The language used by the author is rather discerning and not the one which we can easily find in the present times. The author prolifically used the metaphors to define the sentiments of deep love and longing.

Over all the book is a must read, especially for the people who are curious about life and death, people who believe in friendships, love and God or the people who are in this search. This book will provide a good insight of your own self.

Some of the poems from the book are named: ‘I have been to my grave’, ‘sand dunes’, ‘traveller’, ‘courage and hope’, ‘I will be asleep in December’, ‘my mother’ etc.
