Cancer awareness programme by nursing faculty

On May 24, 2022, the Pflege Association, Department of Obstetrics and Gynecological Nursing, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University, organized a Cprogramreness programme with the topic “Early Detection is the Key to Save Lives” with the goal of raising awareness about Breast and cervical cancer. Breast and cervical cancers are the leading causes of cancer death among Indian women. However, they are largely preventable diseases. The event was guided by Prof. Akoijam Mamata Devi, HOD of Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing at District Civil Hospital, Sec 10, Gurugram. B.Sc Nursing 4th year students perform a role play on early detection, sign & symptoms , causes , treatment and prevention of Breast and cervical Cancer while M.Sc Nursing first-year students demonstrated Breast Self-Examination procedure by using Mama Breast under the Supervision of Mrs. H. Madhubala Devi , Ms Shalu and Ms. Banapriya from Obstetrics & Gynaecological Nursing Department, Faculty of Nursing. The program was graced with the presence of Mrs. Indra, Matron and Mrs Sunita , Matron of CIVIL Hospital with her staff members and other audience. The event was highly appreciated by the audience.
