CBSE Begins Releasing Class 12 Re-Evaluation Results for 2026
Students anxiously awaiting updates on their board examination reviews have received some positive news. The Central Board of Secondary Education (CBSE) has begun releasing the Class 12 re-evaluation and verification results for the 2026 board examinations. Candidates who applied for post-result services can now access their updated results through the DigiLocker portal.
This announcement comes weeks after CBSE declared the Class 12 board examination results on May 13, 2026. This year, approximately 17.69 lakh students appeared for the examination nationwide. As is common after results are announced, many students chose to review their answer sheets to ensure their marks were accurately awarded.
According to CBSE, results for over 87 percent of students who applied for verification, reviewed scanned answer books, or requested re-evaluation have already been released. The remaining applications are still being processed and will be announced in phases over the coming days.
The post-result process began with students being allowed to obtain scanned copies of their evaluated answer books from May 19 to May 25. Eligible candidates were then allowed to apply for verification and re-evaluation from June 2 to June 7. This structured system was introduced to enhance transparency and instill confidence in the evaluation process.
To ensure fairness and security, CBSE collaborated with experts from Digital India Corporation, IIT Kanpur, and IIT Madras. Advanced technological safeguards were implemented to protect student data and prevent unauthorized access during the review process.
Additionally, CBSE announced an option for students whose verification results show “No Change.” These candidates will be allowed to inspect their answer books at their respective CBSE Regional Offices. Detailed guidelines and schedules for this process are expected to be announced separately.
CBSE advises students and parents to rely solely on official communication channels for updates and to avoid rumors or misleading information circulating on social media. With most applications now processed, thousands of students are checking their revised outcomes and planning their next academic steps with greater clarity and confidence.
