Day 4 of Elective Observership Program for students from Malaysia

Day 4 of the “Elective Observership Program” for students from Manipal University College, Malaysia included the exposure of the students about the surgical management of radicular cyst and osteoradionecrosis on 23rd March 2023. The surgeons from Dept of Oral and Maxillofacial Surgery explained the surgical procedure during the live transmission.
This was followed by the visit of students to the Department of Prosthodontics where they were apprised about the specialized implant cases, maxillofacial prosthesis, and rehabilitation for patients with oral cancer and mucormycosis.
The visit to the Department of Conservative Dentistry and Endodontics included exposure to the use of magnifying loupes and Microscopic Dentistry.
The interdepartmental interactions were thoroughly enjoyed by the students and included a lot of interactions with the faculty and Postgraduate students.
These inter-departmental visits were coordinated by Dr Komal Sharma, Assistant Professor, OMR under the able guidance of Dr Astha Chaudhry, Professor and Incharge, OMR.
