Delhi Assembly Hosts 2-Day Orientation Program for New MLAs

The Delhi Assembly has launched a two-day Orientation Program for its newly elected Members of the Legislative Assembly (MLAs). This program focuses on enhancing their understanding of parliamentary procedures, best practices in governance, and legislative responsibilities. The event was inaugurated by Lok Sabha Speaker Om Birla and aims to prepare MLAs for effective lawmaking and public service.

The inaugural session was attended by several prominent dignitaries, including Delhi Assembly Speaker Vijender Gupta, Deputy Speaker Mohan Singh Bist, Delhi Chief Minister Rekha Gupta, and Leader of the Opposition Atishi.

During the program, Speaker Vijender Gupta emphasized the importance of such initiatives in strengthening legislators’ capabilities and ensuring they effectively serve their constituencies. The training covers essential topics such as parliamentary conduct, lawmaking procedures, and ethical responsibilities.

The Orientation Program is expected to play a vital role in preparing MLAs for active participation in legislative discussions, decision-making, and policy formulation.
