Department of Oral Medicine and Radiology, SGT University organized an Interdisciplinary Lecture on “Advances in Drug Delivery System For Oral Lesions”.
Advanced Stomato-diagnostician Association under the Aegis of Department of Oral Medicine and
Radiology, SGT University organized an Interdisciplinary Lecture on “Advances in Drug Delivery
System For Oral Lesions” on 24th of April 2023, in TV Studio, B block, to commemorate
“National OMR Day 2023”.
Students fromBDS Third year, Final year, Interns, and faculty members from
various departments attended the lecture. The event was graced by Prof(Dr) Atul Nasa, Pro Vice-chancellor,
SGT University, Dr Omkar Shetty, Dean, Faculty of Dental Sciences.
A small video presenting all the fun-filled activities conducted on 22nd of April 2023 along with their
winners were displayed. The winners of the various competitions were as follows:
1. Speak out Session: Deepika (First), Anisha and Prachi (First runner up)
2. Logo Designing: Ankita (first), Kritika and Mehak (First runner up)
3. Meme Making: Deeksha Sharma (first), Nidhi Arora (first runner up)
4. OPG Tracing: Rashmit (first), Yashi and Sakshi (first runner up)
5. Quiz competition: Deepika and Nisha (first), Rahul and Nidhi Arora (first runner up).
This was followed by a series of lecture by Dr Vijay Bhalla, Principal, SGT College of Pharmacy, Dr
Vijay Sharma, Dean (Student Welfare) and HOD Pharmaceutics, SGT College of Pharmacy, Dr
Manvi Singh, Assistant Professor, SGT College of Pharmacy. The lectures highlighted the novel oral drug delivery systems and opened avenues for interdisciplinary collaboration for research and better patient management.
The event was conceptualized by Dr. Astha Chaudhry Professor and In charge, OMR, and
coordinated by Dr Kajal Malhotra and Dr Srividya, Assistant Professor, OMR. Overall all the students and faculty members thoroughly enjoyed the two day programme and the programme was a great success.
