A webinar on Introduction to Yoga Research was organized by the Faculty of Neuropathy and Yogic Science at SGT University on Friday 25 March. Prof (Dr) R C Kuhad, Pro-Chancellor, SGT University appreciated the initiative of FNYS and delivered the inaugural address. Dr. Rajiv Rastogi, Dean, FNYS welcomed the guests and online participants. Dr. Sangeeth Somanadhapai, Additional Dean, FNYS introduced the invited speaker Dr. Vadiraja HS Research Officer, Central Council for Research in Yoga , Naturopathy, (CCRYN) SGT University, Ministry of AYUSH, Government of India.  He presented historical highlights of yoga research and also emphasized how it can revolutionize the present era. He stressed the importance of why research is imminent in a student’s life and also to take the ancient knowledge of Yoga Philosophy and Practices with a rational background to the common man through evidence-based medicine. The students of FNYS and FIMS participated in the webinar. The session ended with a proposal of a vote of thanks by Dr. Pooja N Shah, Asst. Professor FNYS to Dr.Vadiraja for sharing his valuable time and input.
