Faculty of Agricultural Sciences celebrates International Day of Forests.

Faculty of Agricultural Sciences under the aegis of Borlaug Academic Association celebrated International Day of Forests on Monday. The theme of this program was “Forests and sustainable production and consumption”. This day was celebrated to create awareness about forests and their importance. Students actively participated in the program and delivered their speeches and recited poems. The Faculty coordinators discussed with students regarding values and protection of forests and also explained the role of forests in the lives of living creatures. They also encouraged the students to plant at least one sapling and conveyed this message through the quote ‘Plant a tree, plant a new life’.
