On the occasion of International Women’s Day, the Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, SGT University honoured not only women, but also the men who have supported and actively participated in women’s empowerment around the world.

Faculty of Behavioural Sciences, SGT University embraced the concept of Shiv – Shakti on International Women’s Day. During this event, Faculty members said that they believe in the foundation of any civilization does not just revolve around a particular gender, rather both compliment and complete one another.

When the world faced darkness, there was a guiding light that emerged. That light took the form of Adi Shakti, a fierce warrior and a nurturer of the universe. She was the ultimate source of power which eventually led to the welfare of mankind.

Adi Shakti took the form of Parvati to enlighten the world by becoming the eternal consort of Lord Shiva. Together, they were known as Shiv – Shakti. A divine structure of masculine consciousness and feminine energy. Both completing and complimenting each other.

During this event, a small departmental get-together was held, which was celebrated with the desire to accept oneness and growth. Dance, imitation, and poetry were used to express the students’ passion.
