Faculty of Physiotherapy SGT University conducts a visit to Indian Spinal Injury Center (ISIC), Delhi

Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT University, Gurugram conducted an Academic visit to the very illustrious ISIC.
Its goal is to promote the management of all types of spinal ailments; which can help in preventing paralysis and nerve damage during complex spinal surgery such as deformity correction and tumor excision and reconstruction. Minimal reconstructive techniques are used for prolapsed disc excision/decompression and cementing kyphotic and vertebroplasty fixation of vertebral bodies. Hydrotherapy, WII fit, balance master, FES, BWSTT, pressure biofeedback, and many other advanced types of equipment were demonstrated along with Gait training programs and orthotic and prosthetic devices
Physical therapy and a rehabilitation program are essential after a number of injuries and surgeries. Rehabilitation serves a number of purposes after any kind of injury or surgery as it helps to: Improve Mobility, Increase Functional Strength, Coordination and Balance, Movement Awareness, and Pain Control.
Indian Spinal Injury Center (ISIC) is one of the most renowned and advanced Spines, Orthopedic, and Neuromuscular Surgical centers in India with the latest state-of-the-art diagnostics and surgical equipment.
The visit was organized for MPT Students along with the faculty members.
