Haryana FDA and Police busted spurious shampoo factory in Ambala Cantt

Under the directions of Haryana Health Minister Anil Vij, a joint team of Food and Drug Administration (FDA) and Police today busted a factory manufacturing spurious shampoo in Ambala Cantt. The team has succeeded in recovering spurious products worth more than Rs 5 lakh from the possession of two arrested persons.
Giving information in this regard, Manmohan Taneja, State Drug Controller, Haryana, said that in this joint action, the factory has been sealed and samples have been taken. The accused were involved in manufacturing spurious shampoo products of Sunsilk and Clinic Plus in this factory and selling it further in the market.
Taneja also informed that two workers namely Bhupendra and Sitaram have been arrested in this factory. Duo arrested said that they were involved in manufacturing these products in the name of Hindustan Lever Company and selling these products in the market without a license.
He said that a case has been registered under various relevant sections.
Taneja said that the sealed factory is located in Gali No.1, Sonia Colony, Mahesh Nagar, Ambala Cantt and further investigation in the matter is underway.
The State Drug Controller said that this action has been taken following a tip off. He said that as per the instructions of Haryana Health Minister, Sh. Anil Vij, the action has been successfully implemented and now those involved in manufacturing spurious products will not be excused.
