SGT University conducts oral health screening camp in Rohtak school

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University conducted an oral health screening program on December 16, 2021 at J.P International School, Sector 36, Suncity Rohtak in collaboration with SGTU Student Outreach Team.
The Dental team was headed by Dr. Babita Rani (Senior Lecturer, Department of Pedodontics) along with 2 Postgraduates Dr. Rashmi and Dr. Snigdha Trivedi (Pedodontics), and 4 Interns (Priyanka, Shraddha, Sachin, and Shruti) and 1 Attendant Mr. Sombir.
As many as178 students were examined for their oral health and advised about good oral health and correct brushing technique.
Oral Health Education was imparted regarding the importance of adopting a healthy lifestyle through brushing techniques, models, and charts.
The session was concluded by giving an oral health education talk to the group of students. All students were advised to seek appropriate consent for further treatment from their parents and those who required dental treatment were referred to SGT Dental Hospital for further treatment.
Dr. Babita and the team also sensitized the teachers about good oral health protocols, so it could be reinforced to all students regularly.
