SGT University and NCR Chamber of Commerce & Industry Host Industry Summit: “Viksit Bharat @ 2047
September 7, 2024 – SGT University, in collaboration with the NCR Chamber of Commerce & Industry, proudly organized an impactful industry summit titled “Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Empowering Youth – Establishing a Growth Ecosystem” on September 6, 2024. The event, held under the esteemed leadership of Prof. (Dr.) Tanushri Purohit, aimed to equip the youth with the skills, education, and entrepreneurial opportunities necessary to drive innovation and economic development, aligning with the vision of a developed India by 2047.
The summit was inaugurated with the traditional lighting of the Deepshikha by Pro Vice Chancellor of SGT University, Dr. Atmanand, alongside Mr. Rajesh Kumar Sinha, Dean Academics; Prof. (Dr.) Tanushri Purohit, Dean of the Faculty of Commerce and Management; and distinguished guests including Mr. Himanshu Joshi, Director of NITI Aayog; Mr. Goutam Bhattacharya, CEO of the Life Sciences Sector Skill Development Council; Mr. H.P. Yadav, President of the NCR Chamber of Commerce and Industry; Mr. Utpal Mukherji, Senior Vice President at Axis Bank; Mr. Laxmikanta Das, Associate Vice President & Head of Enterprise Applications at HFCL LTD; and Mr. Ayush Srivastava, Transformation Officer at International Egis Group.
The summit featured an engaging panel discussion moderated by Ms. Reetika Dhadeech, focusing on the theme “Viksit Bharat @ 2047: Empowering Youth and Establishing a Growth Ecosystem.” The panel emphasized key themes such as sustainability, inclusivity, and the fostering of innovation, research, and entrepreneurship. The discussion highlighted the crucial role of Indian youth as future global leaders and underscored the importance of collaboration among government, industry, academia, and civil society in building a robust growth ecosystem.
The summit also included an interactive session with prominent entrepreneurs and industry leaders, including Mr. B. Raj Sachdeva, Mr. Bharat Goel, Mr. Raj Kumar, Mr. Ravinder Bansal, and Mr. Sushil Bansal. Students actively participated, posing insightful questions that enriched the discussion and provided them with expert perspectives on the latest industry trends and future opportunities.
The “Viksit Bharat @ 2047” Industry Summit successfully fostered connections between experts, policymakers, and the youth, contributing to the development of essential leadership, economic growth, and sustainability skills in alignment with India’s ambitious vision for 2047.
