Nearly 3000 get degrees in convocation 2022 held at SGT University

The three-day Convocation Ceremony of SGT University Gurugram concluded with the award of degrees given to 1066 students.
In total, nearly 3000 students of Bachelors, Masters, and Doctorate received their degrees during the 3-day convocation ceremony, where 116 students from various faculties got the gold medals.
The Convocation was held at three different venues; A-Block Shooting floor, C- Block Auditorium, And Hospital Auditorium.
The Convocation Ceremony in A-Block began with the arrival of the dignitaries. Honorable Chancellor Padma Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla, Chairperson, Shri Manmohan Singh Chawla Managing Trustee, Dashmesh Education Charitable Trust, Prof. (Dr.) Vinod Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, Dr. Vijay Bhardwaj, Controller of Examination, Dr. Joginder Yadav, Registrar, members of the Academic Council, and Deans of all the Faculties were present at the ceremony.
On the first day of convocation, which was held on 4th May, 2022, A total of 928 students received their degrees.
Students of Ph.D., MD, MS, MSc, MBBS, BDS, and MDS received their degrees. 225 Students were honored with their degrees in A Block. On the last day of the ceremony, the chief guest was Dr. S.K Sarin, Vice-Chancellor, Institute of Liver and Biliary Sciences. The guest of honor was Dr. Sanjay Tyagi, Director, Software Technology Parks India, Chennai.
Students of Pharmacy Practice, Bachelor of Pharmacy, Diploma in Pharmacy MPT, and BPT were awarded degrees. 395 students were honored with their degrees at C- Block Auditorium. The honor guest invited for the event was Prof. K.K Aggrawal, Chairman, National Board of Accreditation, and Former Vice-Chancellor of GGS Indraprastha University Delhi. The guest of honour was Sh. Narendra Ahooja Vivek, Former State Drug Controller Haryana at Food and Drug Administration. Prof Vikas Dhawan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, SGTU, read the VC’s report.
308 students of M.Sc. Nursing, B.Sc. Nursing, Post Basic Nursing, and GNM were honored with their degrees at Hospital Auditorium. The chief guest present at this venue was Prof Bachan Lal, Vice-Chancellor of Cluster University, Jammu and Kashmir, and the guest of honor was Sh. Harsh Priya Arya, Vice- President -HR, Jai Bharti Maruti Pvt. Ltd.
On the second day of convocation, which was held on 5th May 2022, A total of 964 students got their degrees.
Students of MDS, BDS, Behavioural M.Phil., Behavioural PDCP, Behavioural M.Sc., Behavioural B.Sc., Behavioural B.A, Behavioural B.Ed., Behavioural D.Ed., DNYS received their degrees. A Total of 346 Students were honored with their degrees in A Block. The chief guest in this program was Prof. (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice-Chancellor GSS Indraprastha University, New Delhi, and the guest of honor was Mr. Jeetendra Singh, CFO and Director VVDN Technology Pvt. Ltd.
Students of PG Allied, UG allied, and Diploma allied were awarded degrees. 343 students were honored with their degrees at C- Block Auditorium. The chief guest invited for the event was Dr. S.J Chopra, Chancellor, Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun. The guest of honor was Prof. Dr. V.K Nangia, Former Professor and Head of Management, IIT Roorkee. During the event, Dr. Naveen Kumar, the deputy controller of examination, represented Dr. Vijay Bhardwaj, controller of examination.
Students of BAMS, M. SC, Agriculture, BSC Agriculture, B.Ed., UG Fashion, and PG Fashion were awarded their degrees. A total of 275 students were honored with their degrees at the Hospital Auditorium. The chief guest invited to the event was Shree JK Mehta, Secretary-General, South Asia Forum for Energy Efficiency. The guest of honor was Mr. Lalit Masta, CEO, ABP E-Ventures Private Limited, Kolkata. Prof. Vijay Bhalla represented the Chancellor of SGT University, and Sh. Rambir Joon, the Additional Controller of Examinations, was present at the ceremony.
On the final day of convocation, which was held on the 6th of May 2022, A total of 1,066 students got their degrees.
Students of LLM, LLB UG, PG Journalism, UG Journalism, PG Sciences, and UG Sciences were awarded their degrees at Hospital Auditorium. A total of 347 students were honored with their degrees. The chief guest invited to the event was Mrs. (Dr.) Vinay Kapoor Mehra, former vice-chancellor, Dr. BR Ambedkar National Law University, Sonipat, and the guest of honor was Dr. AK Bisoi, Professor, All India Institute of Medical Sciences, New Delhi. Sh. Manmohan Singh Chawla, Managing Trustee, Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, represented the Chancellor in the program, and Dr. Ashok Kumar, Dean, Faculty of Agricultural Sciences, SGTU, represented the vice-chancellor of SGT University.
Students of P.G Management and U.G Management were awarded their degrees. A total of 308 were honored with their degrees at C-Block Auditorium. The chief guest invited to the event was Professor C.M Dhawan, former director, DRDO, and the guest of honor was Sh. Manu Sharma, Assistant Vice–President, Hero Electric Vehicles Pvt. Ltd., Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla, Chairperson, Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, and Prof. (Dr.) Vikas Dhawan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, SGT University, were present at the ceremony.
Students of UG Engineering, MDU Engineering, and PG Engineering were awarded their degrees. A total of 411 were honored with their degrees at A-Block Auditorium. The chief guest invited to the event was Dr. Nakul Parashar, Director, Vigyan Prasar, New Delhi, and the guest of honor was Shri. Pankaj Sharma, Former Director of Engineering Microsoft. Padam Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, chancellor of SGT University, and Professor Dinesh Singh, Former Vice-Chancellor of Delhi University, awarded degrees to the students of Engineering.
