964 students get their degrees on the second day of the 8th Convocation of SGT University

A total of 964 students were awarded graduate, postgraduate and doctoral degrees on the second day of the 8th Convocation of Shri Guru Gobind Singh Tricentenary University held at Gurugram today. The Convocation will continue until May 6, and the graduates, postgraduates, and Ph. D scholars from different faculties will be receiving their respective degrees at SGT University. 

The Convocation was held at three different places A-Block Shooting floor, C- Block Auditorium, And Hospital Auditorium. 

The convocation ceremony in A-Block began with the arrival of the dignitaries. Professor (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice-Chancellor GSS Indraprastha University New Delhi, Mr. Jeetendra Singh CFO, and Director VVDN Technology Pvt. Ltd., Padma Sh. Ram Bahadur Rai, Chancellor, SGT University, Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla, Chairperson and Sh. Manmohan Singh Chawla, Managing Trustee, Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, Professor(Dr.) Vinod Kumar, Vice-Chancellor, SGT University, Dr. Vijay Bhardwaj, Controller of Examination, SGTU, Dr. Joginder Yadav, Registrar, SGTU,  members of the Academic Council, and Deans of all the Faculties.

Students of MDS, BDS, Behavioural M.Phil., Behavioural PDCP, Behavioural M.Sc., Behavioural B.Sc., Behavioural B.A, Behavioural B.Ed., Behavioural D.Ed., DNYS received their degrees. A Total of 346 Students were honored with their degrees in A Block. The chief guest in this program was Professor (Dr.) Mahesh Verma, Vice-Chancellor, GSS Indraprastha University, New Delhi, and the guest of honor was Mr. Jeetendra Singh, CFO, and Director VVDN Technology Pvt. Ltd. Dr. Mahesh Verma released the Souvenir of the 8th Convocation of SGT University in the presence of all the dignitaries.

The chief guest, Padma Sh. While addressing the students in this program, Dr. Mahesh Verma congratulated the degree holders. 

Dr. Mahesh Verma interacted with the students and said that India is fortunate to have youth who can bring change. He said that the highest population would be youngsters, who will represent our nation. He also added that India is progressing as a young nation, and the youth of India are proving their mettle day by day. The educated Indian youth in the world are getting new opportunities. Furthermore, after getting the degree, the youth will have to work hard and keep working hard to achieve height in their field and accomplish their goal.

At C- Block Auditorium, the chief guest invited for the event was Dr. S.J Chopra, Chancellor Petroleum and Energy Studies Dehradun, and the guest of honor was Professor Dr. V.K Nangia, Former Professor and Head of Management, IIT Roorkee. Students of PG Allied, UG allied, and Diploma allied were awarded degrees. Mrs. Madhupreet Kaur Chawla, Chairperson, Dashmesh Educational Charitable Trust, and Prof. Vikas Dhawan, Pro-Vice-Chancellor, SGT University, awarded a total of 343 students with their degrees. During the event, Dr. Naveen Kumar, the deputy controller of examination, represented Dr. Vijay Bhardwaj, controller of examination.

At the Hospital Auditorium, Sh. JK Mehta, Secretary-General, South Asia Forum for Energy Efficiency, was the chief guest. Mr. Lalit Masta, the CEO of ABP E-Ventures Private Limited, Kolkata, was the chief guest and the guest of honor. 275 students of BAMS, M. SC, Agriculture, BSC Agriculture, B.Ed, UG Fashion, and PG Fashion were awarded their degrees. 

 In this program, Prof. Vijay Bhalla represented the Chancellor of SGT University and Sh. Rambir Joon, Additional Controller of Examination, SGT University.
