Oral Health Camp at Yakubpur Village by SGT University

An Oral health screening and Treatment program were organized by Innova 8 Oral Health Care an Academic Association constituted under the Department of Public Health Dentistry of Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University at Yakubpur Village, Jhajjar in association with Reliance MET to celebrate World Health Day, 2022. World Health Day is celebrated and observed every year on the 7th of April to commemorate the anniversary of the foundation of the WHO.
The theme for World Health Day is Our Planet, Our Health. WHO aims to focus global attention on urgent actions need to keep humans and the planet healthy.
Under the guidance of Professor (Dr.) Shourya Tandon Head and Associate Dean and Dr. Abhinav Advisor, Innova 8 Oral Health Care the dental team took initiative to meet the people of Yakubpur village.
The Dental team was headed by Dr. Meenakshi Chopra Co-Advisor, Innova 8 Oral Health Care along with 2 Postgraduates Dr. Disha Endodontics, Dr. Prabodh Oral Surgery, and student members of Innova 8 Oral Health Care- Divya, Ekta, Himanshi, Kanika and Shubham, and 2 attendants Mr. Sunil and Mr Rajkumar. Specialist Clinical support was provided by the Department of Oral Surgery and Endodontics.
85 patients were examined and out of which 32 were provided dental treatment in the mobile dental van (29 Oral Prophylaxis, 3 Extractions,).
Patients who required complex dental treatment were referred to SGT University for further procedures.
Oral health education was imparted to the people and proper brushing technique was demonstrated.
The purpose of this program was to create awareness among the community and make them understand the importance of oral health and general health.
