Indian Podiatry Association organized the two days live workshop and certificate course on Diabetic Foot management on 28.05.2022 and 29.05.2022 at Pride Plaza Aerocity, Delhi. The main goal of this association is to encourage and advance the study and practice of the science and art of Podiatry (Foot Care) in India. This association gives emphasis on mobilizing Government agencies and Government and semi-government organizations, Corporate Sector, Medical Fraternity, and the society in general to explore facilities for any service, product for Diabetic Foot care, Podiatry, wound management and care to prevent occurrence of Diabetic foot ailments. Such kind of efforts will also open door of advancement for physiotherapy students in podiatry field. The idea behind organizing this IPACON2022 was to create awareness and explain the techniques of prevention for diabetic patients. In this national event 4 faculty members of Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT University chaired the session. Dr. Pooja Anand (Dean FPHY), Dr. Bijender Sindhu (Associate Professor), Dr. Priyanka Rishi (Associate Professor) and Dr. Sajjan Pal (Assistant Professor) were honored with the award of appreciation for giving their time and chairing the session. In this program, our faculty members discussed and explained about the role of podiatry rehabilitation and how it can be helpful in early prevention. Future scopes of physiotherapy in the area of podiatry were also enlightened by the eminent speakers.
