RailOne App Launched: A Unified Platform for All Railway Passenger Services

New Delhi, July 1, 2025: Union Railway Minister Shri Ashwini Vaishnaw today launched RailOne, a comprehensive mobile application offering integrated railway passenger services, at the India Habitat Centre in New Delhi. The launch marked the 40th Foundation Day of the Centre for Railway Information Systems (CRIS).

The RailOne app aims to significantly improve the digital interface between passengers and Indian Railways. It offers a user-friendly, space-saving platform that consolidates multiple services into a single app, reducing the need for downloading separate applications.

Key Features of RailOne App

Available for Android and iOS, RailOne integrates various passenger-centric services, including:

  • Unreserved Ticket Booking (UTS) via R-Wallet with a 3% discount

  • Live Train Tracking

  • Passenger Grievance Redressal

  • E-Catering, Porter Booking, and Last-Mile Taxi Services

While reserved tickets will continue through IRCTC, RailOne has been authorized by IRCTC, much like other commercial railway apps. It offers a single sign-on using mPIN or biometric login, and supports credentials from UTS and RailConnect.

Modern PRS Coming by December 2025

During the event, the Railway Minister applauded CRIS’s contribution to digitization and urged the team to further reinforce the digital backbone of Indian Railways. He announced that a Modern Passenger Reservation System (PRS) is expected to be in place by December 2025.

The upgraded PRS will:

  • Be agile, scalable, and multilingual

  • Handle 1.5 lakh ticket bookings and 40 lakh enquiries per minute

  • Include features like seat preference, fare calendar, and special options for Divyangjan, students, and patients

A Vision for Future Mobility

Minister Vaishnaw emphasized that the RailOne app reflects Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s vision of making Indian Railways the growth engine of India’s Vikas Yatra.

By merging technology with passenger convenience, the RailOne app stands as a symbol of Indian Railways’ commitment to inclusive, digital, and world-class mobility solutions for all citizens.
