SGT University, Gurugram Celebrates National Sandwich Day
The Faculty of Hotel and Tourism Management (FHTM) of the SGT University celebrated “National Sandwich Day” on November 2, 2021, at A-Block Ambrosia restaurant.
Several varieties of sandwiches were displayed like Cole Slaw Sandwich, Scandinavian Sandwich, Capers, Stuff Chicken Sandwich, Grated eggs and so on.
Professor Dr Susanta Ranjan Chaini, Dean of FHTM, presided over the event and shared interesting facts on sandwiches. He said that interestingly, the sandwich has been around for years and was officially named by John Montagu, the 4th Earl of Sandwich. It is one of America’s most popular lunch items and this day gives a great reason to enjoy with delicious taste, Chaini added.
A large number of people, staff and faculty members showed their interest and tried different varieties of sandwiches. Prof. (Dr.) Sharif Ahmad, Pro-Vice-Chancellor (Research & Consultancy), Ms Jaslien Chhatwal, Assistant Professor, also graced the event with their presence.
