SGT University organize physiotherapy camp at Nazafgarh

The Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT University, Gurugram organized a Physiotherapy Camp on Saturday, December 18, at Najafgarh, New Delhi.

The camp was conducted by a group of enthusiastic graduates and postgraduate physiotherapy students under the supervision of Dr. Saurabh Kumar (Assistant Professor) and Dr. Snigdha Tiwari (Assistant Professor). A total of 60 people including children and adults were counseled. The response of the camp was way beyond expectation. Complete evaluation of all patients was done including blood sugar, blood pressure analysis along with physiotherapy services were given which included exercise prescription, postural correction advice, and modalities as required, said Dr Pooja Anand, Professor and Dean, Faculty of Physiotherapy, SGT University, Gurugram.  

Patients were also advised to visit the SGT Medical College, Hospital, and Research Institute for further treatment if it was required.

The main aim of the camp was to create awareness of physiotherapy treatment in preventing and curing many ailments.

People went home with a message that medicines may cure most of the problems, but with exercises, they will improve their quality of life.

Overall, the camp was an inspirational guide to the faculty and students in terms of utilizing their skills in the welfare of society.
