SGT University organizes Covid -19 awareness camp at Khera Khurampur village in Gurugram

The Faculty of Allied Health Sciences of SGT University and Microcosm Association, organized a Covid -19 awareness camp at Khera Khurampur Village, Farrukhnagar, Gurugram where people of the village were informed about the various mode of transmission of COVID, the importance of precautionary measures to be in order to minimize the spread of infection, steps wise method of handwashing followed, proper technique of using the mask and how to test COVID sample at home was also demonstrated mentioning the correct method of sample collection and the steps to be followed for performing COVID test using Rapid card method (Antigen detection).

 The motive of this initiative by Allied Health Science, Microcosm Association, was to help those who are unable to manage covid-19 safety gear on their own. This program intends to both inform and help people fight against the disease. through this awareness camp, about 50 villagers participated in this program and a few of them get their free Covid test.

 During this program Students Bipul, Pranjal, Sandhya, Mukul, Deepak, Rijwan, Himanshu, Mohit, Sahil, Preeti, and Nikita from the Department of Medical Laboratory Technology and Microbiology visited Khera Khurampur village, Farrukhnagar, they were accompanied by three faculty members Ms. Suchandra Gupta, Dr. Sunita Sheoran and Dr. Vatsala Saharan under the guidance of DEAN FAHS Prof. M. Ejaz Hussain.

At the end of this awareness programme, Microcosm Association also thanked the higher authorities of SGT University for helping to organize this event on such short notice, they said that these awareness camps provide good learning and experience to the students and they are looking forward to organizing more such events in the upcoming months.
