SGT University students and faculty, join CM’s event virtually from campus, take a pledge against drugs

Students and faculty members of SGT University participated in online mode in the event organised by Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau at Haryana Police Academy, Madhuban where the Chief Minister Sh. Manohar Lal Khattar administered oath against drugs to people.
Prof. Sushil Manav, Dean, Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology, Dr. Vijay Sharma, Dean Students’ Welfare, Dr. Ravi Tomar, Additional Dean, Students’ Welfare, wardens of various hostels and students of the university participated in large numbers and took oath against drugs. The programme was organized on the occasion of the International Day Against Drug Abuse and Illicit Trafficking on Sunday. Those who took oath will also be able to generate and download their e-certificates from the link provided by the Bureau.
Haryana Home and Health Minister Sh. Anil Vij joined the event virtually, while Haryana Mission Team President of Action Plan and Haryana Chief Secretary Sanjeev Kaushal, the DGP Sh. PK Agarwal and Additional Director General of Police, Haryana State Narcotics Control Bureau Sh. Shrikant Jadhav were present on this occasion.
The Chief Minister said that when we speak of development, it is not only about the construction of roads and other infrastructure, but more importantly about the development of people living in the state.
He said the development of people includes inculcating good culture among youths and keeping them away from drugs so that their bodies and mind could develop freely.
He said the drugs were the worst kind of addiction, as they hamper the mental growth of an individual and ruin not only the person addicted to it but his entire family.
