SGT University students attend Surya Samachar 2023
Delhi: Students of the Faculty of Mass Communication and Media Technology, SGT University, Gurugram, got an opportunity to attend the “Surya Samachar Conclave – 2023,” a grand event that was lined up with some of the biggest political personalities of the state, including the Chief Minister of Haryana, Manohar Lal Singh Khattar, and his former counterpart Bhupender Singh Hooda. Other dignitaries who were present on the day were the Deputy CM of Haryana, Dushyant Singh Chautala, Ranjit Singh Chautala, the Power and Jail minister of Haryana, and Devender Singh Babli, Minister of Development and Panchayats for the state.
“We are thankful to SGT University for not limiting our learning to just the campus, and giving us this chance to attend, and report on, such a conclave with prestigious personalities,” said one of our students.
The event was an exciting opportunity for our students, who got to see up close the management and handling of an event of such scale and size. They also witnessed fierce interviews and debates between opposing representatives.
Another student added that “SGT University regularly conducts such visits for its students, that are relevant to their courses, and their vision for their careers. The world outside is always the best teacher, and with such programs, they merge the best of experiential and academics.”

“Students here have the chance to work on SGT Times, an independent publication supported by the university. We are given the opportunity to organize programs and events both inside and outside of the campus, managing every aspect of production from presentation to editing to camera work,” said Harshita from FMMT.
