Synergy 2024: SGT University Hosts Its Biggest Tech Fest, Showcasing Innovation and Creativity
SGT University’s 7th annual tech fest, Synergy 2024, transformed its Gurugram campus into a hub of technology, creativity, and culture from October 16th to 18th. With Amar Ujala as its media partner, the three-day event attracted over 22,000 visitors, making it the largest tech fest in the university’s history. The event showcased cutting-edge prototypes, vibrant cultural performances, and inspiring talks from industry leaders.
Day one kicked off with insightful sessions from notable speakers. K. Raja Bhanu from Pharmexcil discussed future trends in pharmaceuticals, Pranshuman Roy from Kyndryl offered insights into IT services, and Prashant Tandon from Tata 1mg explored innovations in digital healthcare. These talks set the tone for the festival, inspiring students and professionals alike to push the boundaries of technology and innovation.
Student Prototypes and High-Tech Competitions
Synergy 2024 provided a platform for young innovators to display their creativity and technical expertise. Students from across North India presented a range of cutting-edge projects, including real-world solutions for pressing challenges. The event featured thrilling activities such as robot combat, drone obstacle courses, and interactive tech stalls, sparking excitement and competition in fields like robotics and aeronautics.

The second day saw an influx of school students—over 4,500—who explored more than 200 innovative projects, gaining exposure to AI-powered gadgets, eco-friendly inventions, and sustainable solutions. The campus buzzed with excitement as these young minds explored future possibilities and engaged with interactive exhibits.
SGT Haat and Cultural Performances
Adding a cultural flair to the tech-driven fest was the lively SGT Haat, a vibrant bazaar filled with regional crafts, handmade items, and delicious treats. The ‘Halli Ki Thali’ became a crowd favorite, offering authentic regional cuisine while visitors enjoyed refreshing drinks and handmade decor. On the cultural stage, Nukkad Natak performances brought social issues to light through creative storytelling. The dance performances combined classical Indian styles with contemporary fusion, while live bands added energy with soulful melodies and rhythmic beats, ensuring the fest was as entertaining as it was innovative.

Highlighting Talent and Innovation
The final day of Synergy 2024 celebrated innovation and talent, with RJ Atishay from Ishq FM engaging the crowd with his energetic presence and witty interactions. The festival culminated in intense competitions across key innovation categories, recognizing the most outstanding projects. Among the top four projects were:
- Healthcare: The “VertiGaze Integrated Educational Model” by the Physiotherapy department.
- Future Tech & Innovation: A Wireless Charging Station developed by the Engineering department.
- Natural Resources & Sustainability: An Electrolyser for Hydrogen Production, also from the Engineering department.
- Societal Development: A Cyberbullying Prevention project led by the Law department.
The valedictory ceremony, attended by Chief Guest Mr. B.R. Sikri, Chairman of FOPE, and Guest of Honour Mrs. Harleen Kaur, IAS, Special Secretary to the Lieutenant Governor of Delhi, honored these standout projects. RJ Atishay added an extra layer of excitement as the best projects and participants received awards and recognition.
School Teams Shine with Big Prizes
Synergy 2024 also celebrated the innovation of school students. RP Memorial Sr. Sec. School from Uttam Nagar won the top prize of ₹30,000, while KG Sr. Sec. School from Gurugram received ₹24,000, and Gian Mandir Public School from Naraina Vihar secured ₹15,000. These prizes recognized the youth’s innovative spirit and their drive to create impactful solutions for the future.
