SGT University’s Faculty of Indian Medicine System to organise virtual Suryanamaskar on Makar Skranti

Makar Sankranti is the festival of thanksgiving to Mother Nature for spreading health, wealth, and happiness around. This is also a time for the transition of the Sun from one phase to another and a time for Sun salutation (in the form of Suryanamsakar) for all of us.

As a part of ” Azadi Ka Amrit Mahotsava” (75th year of Indian Independence) Government of India, Ministry of Ayush has desired that a large scale virtual Surya Namaskar Programme be organized to mark the holy occasion on 14 January, 2022.

It is planned that 75 Lakh participants will Practice Surya Namaskar on January 14, 2022 observing Covid-19 appropriate behaviour.

before Practicing Surya Namaskar on 14th Jan 2022. A wide range of digital resources are already available in the public domain to learn and teach Surya Namaskar. The same may be seen on the websites/ Social Media of MDNY, MoAyush and various major Yoga organizations and institutions. Registered Participants will receive an E certificate from Ministry of AYUSH Govt of India.Your active support is very much required for the smooth & successful organization of this programme.

Prof. Dr. Prasanna V Savanur Dean FIMS told that as a part of this grand event, the Department of Swasthavrittha, Faculty of Indian Medical System, SGT University is organizing a virtual Syuryanamaskar program at D block from 10 AM to 11 AM.  Interested students, teachers, and non-teaching staff of your institute along with their Family members virtually.
