SGT University’s Radiodiagnosis dept holds guest lecture, device demo workshop

Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences, SGT University, Gurugram through its department of Radiodiagnosis and Imaging on 14 December 2021 organised a guest lecture and device demonstration Workshop on “Hardware and Technique of Biopsies and Drainages” by Dr Amar Mukund, Professor(Interventional Radiology), Institute of Liver & Biliary Sciences, New Delhi.
The raison d’etre behind the event was providing new learning opportunities in the field to the trainee resident doctors and faculty members.
The event started with the felicitation of the eminent speaker Dr Amar Mukund, followed by the main academic events. The event was immensely informative and enriching for the attendees. The resident doctors participated enthusiastically in the interactive workshop. The attendees were also given hands-on practice of various biopsy devices on phantoms.
Dr Reena Nayyar, Adviser to Management, Dr Shyam Singla, Professor Emeritus, Dr Sansar Chand Sharma, Dean; Dr Rajeev Sen Medical Superintendent; Prof (Brig) Chander Mohan, SM Director Hospital Administration and the Head of Radiodiagnosis Department, Dr JK Das, Additional Medical Superintendent, HoDs, faculty members & postgraduate resident doctors of clinical departments were present among another attendee.
Dr Monu Sarin proposed the vote of thanks and said that continuing medical education with insights into the latest medical advances is the guiding philosophy of the Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences at SGT. The radiology department plans to make such events a regular feature.
