The Department of Child Health Nursing organized the “One Day Online Sensitization programme on Integrated Management of neonatal and childhood illness (IMNCI)”.

The Bridge Well Association under the Department of Child Health Nursing in collaboration with Continuing Education Department, Faculty of Nursing, SGT University has organized the “One Day Online Sensitization programme on Integrated Management of neonatal and
childhood illness (IMNCI)” on 27th Feb 2023 in C Block Auditorium by Dr Harish Kumar Chellani Distinguished Scientist & Consultant, Centre for Health Research and Development, Society of Applied Studies., Ex-Head of Department & In charge Newborn Unit, Department of Pediatrics,VMMC ,Safdarjung Hospital New Delhi and Dr. Ashima Dabas ,Associate Professor, Dept of Pediatrics, Maulana Azad Medical College and Lok Nayak Hospital, New Delhi. The session was chaired by Prof. (Dr.) Pity Koul, Dean Faculty of Nursing and coordinated
by Ms. Sarika Yadav Associate Professor & Ms. Kulpooja, assistant professor FNUR Sgt University. The event began with Introduction about the IMNCI BY Dr Harish Kumar Chellani. He gave an overview about causes of morbidity and mortality among newborn babies and
children. He focused on SDG Goals as importance of IMCI and IMNCI strategy . His Session was followed by Dr. Ashima Dabas . She focused on all components of IMNCI, the significance of colours while classifying and treating the child with illness, and highlighted the recent
updation in IMNCI. The session was followed by questions and answer session and the event was highly appreciated by the participants.
The event was concluded with vote of Thanks by Jyoti shokeen, Assistant professor, Faculty of Nursing SGT University.
