The Department of Public Health Dentistry organized a fruitful day of collaborative outreach activity for providing Oral Health Checkup, Dental Treatment, and a special session on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training and Awareness

The Department of Public Health Dentistry, Faculty of Dental Sciences, SGT University in collaboration with the Faculty of Nursing & National Reference Simulation Centre organized a fruitful day of collaborative outreach activity for providing Oral Health Checkup, Dental Treatment, and a special session on Cardiopulmonary Resuscitation (CPR) Training and Awareness for local residents of Sector 5, Gurugram. The activity was organized by the Rotary Club of Gurgaon South City. Almost 75 residents got their Dental screenings done and learned about CPR. Residents very enthusiastically learned how to provide CPR on dummy mannequins. The camp was organized on Sunday, 16th April 2023 at Shiv Mandir, Sector 5, Gurugram. The dental team took initiative under the guidance of Dr. Shourya Tandon who headed the team along with 2 postgraduate students Dr. Divanshi (Dept. of Oral Surgery), Dr. Ayesha (Dept. of Prosthodontics), and 6 BDS Interns Asha, and Fiza, Mohini, Mumtaz, Diksha, Amit, and attendant Mr. Sunil & Mr. Darshan from Dental department. The CPR awareness initiative was undertaken by Dr. Sunil K Dular and the team was headed by Ms. Usha, Ms. Diksha, Ms. Amandeep, Ms. Ruchika along with PG Students Aparna, Deepak, Robin, Mohan, Ujjwal, Twinkle, and support staff Deepak. Positive feedback was obtained from all residents about all the activities. However, patients requiring complex treatment were referred to SGT Dental College. The patients got ample opportunities to interact with the dental surgeons to enquire and gain knowledge concerning oral diseases. All residents actively participated in learning the CPR procedure and enquired all their queries from the visiting experts.
