The Faculty of Indian Medical System, SGT University launches its 15-day Transitional Curriculum Program, Ayurkshitija today i.e. 13th Feb 2023. The events of the next 15 days are based on the guidelines of the National Commission for Indian Medicine.
The newly admitted students were welcomed by their seniors with tilak and best wishes. FIMS initiated the Day 1 of its transitional curriculum program by seeking the blessings of Lord Dhanwantari through Vandna and lamp lightening by the dignitaries, Chief Guest Dr. Parmeshwar Arora, Prof. (Dr.) Prasanna V. Savanur, Prof.(Dr.) Avnish Pathak, Prof. (Dr.) Pankaja Savanur, Dr. Anupama Patra, newly admitted Students, and parents.
Prof. (Dr.) Prasanna V. Savanur, Dean FIMS, SGT University highlighted the details of the event and the importance of the introduction of a transitional curriculum program for the newly admitted students.
Dr. Parmeshwar Arora, the chief guest of the ceremony, a very distinguished and one of the topmost Ayurveda practitioners of India, a very well-known face of Ayurveda, welcomed students and shared his experiences, and motivated and guided students about how to become successful Ayurveda practitioners. Students were also provided step-by-step practical life guidance in BAMS course by Dr. Arora Sir.
Newly admitted students, BAMS Senior students (Madhav. Shilpa, Yukti), and Parents gave their valuable opinion about Ayurveda and College.
Concluding remarks were delivered by Prof. (Dr.) Prasanna V. Savanur, Dean FIMS, SGT University.
A vote of thanks was given by Dr. Karuna Kamble Deshmukh. A Pre-Transitionalal Curriculum Assessment in the form of a questionnaire was conducted to access knowledge about Ayurveda.
