The Hospital Quality Assurance Cell and Human Resource Department organized a program on International Women’s Day at the SGT Hospital on Tuesday. The theme of this program was “Gender equality today for a sustainable tomorrow”. HOD of Microbiology and Head of Internal Complaint committee Dr. Manisha Khandit and Head Operations Mr. Anil Nagpal was the Guest Honour at the event and was accompanied by Executive Director, MS, DMS, CNS, Head HQAC and HOD’s. The Chief Guest gave their views about women’s empowerment and how we can break the bias in society. Students and staff performed a nukkad natak on the theme to show how gender equality helps our social and economic growth. It was also led by a poem recitation on women empowerment by Quality Executive Ms. Tannu Dhawariya. HOD- Microbiology and Head of ICC Dr.Manisha in her speech briefly explained gender equality and also mentioned in her speech about Women’s safety in the workplace. Various Fun activities were carried out such as Scavenger Hunt, Rapid Fire, Damsharas and Poem recitation organized for the hospital staff, Staff and students participated enthusiastically and engaged in all the activities in the event. The session was addressed by The Medical Superintendent with Wonderful Quotes- If you educate a man you educate an individual, but if you educate a woman you educate a family (nation)”.
