Workshop on Muscle Energy Technique by Faculty of Physiotherapy

Association of Ortho Care and Rehab under the aegis of the Faculty of Physiotherapy conducted a one-day hands-on workshop on Muscle Energy Technique in association with the Indian Association of Physiotherapy, Haryana as a part of the pre-conference workshop of IAP Haryana Con 2022.
Dr. Sanjiv Jha (PT), president of the Indian Association of Physiotherapy was the resource person in the workshop. The workshop was organized by Dr. Priyanka Rishi (Associate Professor, FPHY) as she is the coordinator of IAPWC Gurugram and Pre- Conference coordinator.
The workshop was inaugurated by Dr. Sumer Singh, Advisor SGT University in the presence of Dean FPHY, Prof Ejaz Hussain, Dean – of Allied Health Sciences and all the faculty members of FPHY were present there. The workshop was initiated with the welcome note delivered by Dean, FPHY.
The purpose of the workshop was to impart clinical skills to the students so that more of the skills can be acquired and applied clinically. Students learned new techniques of treatment and improved their existing way of approach to musculoskeletal rehabilitation. A brief theoretical session was done at the beginning followed by a thorough demonstration of students. They were also given ample amount of time to practice and learn the implication of the technique. Huge registration from different colleges of Delhi and Haryana were observed for the workshop wherein 75 students from Jamia Millia, Manav Rachna, G.D Goenka, Gurugram University, Sharda University, MVN University, Banarsi Das Chandiwala College of Physiotherapy and many more participated and showed keen interest in learning of the skills taught in the workshop and requested for some more clinical workshops like this.
