5 days Faculty Development Program Cum Workshop begins at the Faculty of Agriculture Science.
The Faculty of Agricultural Sciences in collaboration with Hindistan Agricultural Research Welfare Society (HARWS) is organized a 5 days Faculty Development Program Cum Workshop on “Quality Writing Of Research Projects and Publications” from today till 16 Dec 2022. On today Inaugural cum Orientation Program was organized and the session was graced by Guest of Honour, Dr. Meenaksi Munshi , Dean Research, Prof.(Dr.) Ashok Kumar, Dean FASC, Prof. R. S. Yadav , Associate Dean, FASC, Dr. Anil Kumar Choudhary , General Secretary, HARWS, Dr. D.P.S. Badwal ,CEO, Just Agriculture, Dr. J. K. Sharma, Dean, Baddi University, Dr. S. S. Sharma, Dean, Invertis University. The greeting of the Guest of Honour and participants was done by Dr. Pooja Pant, FASC. A welcome speech was delivered by Prof. Ashok Kumar Dean FASC. Dr. Meenaksi Munshi , Dean Research, explained the objectives and theme of FDP Cum Workshop to the enthusiastic participants. She said that Research writing and publishing is a perpetual process that has to meet a certain requirement regarding how the paper is written and the way it is published. The importance of writing can never be ignored for a successful research career, and the ability to write impactful papers is an essential trait of a researcher. Therefore, the basic aim of this FDP is to enhance the ability of quality writing of research/review papers with enhancement of project writing skill development. For early career researchers it is very important to develop project writing skills with basic knowledge of project drafting concerning government funding bodies. The Faculty development program will feature most senior professors and experts from the country speaking on research paper writing skills and their publication in top tier journals with enhancement of project writing skills. This FDP will be generic in nature and it will help the participants to understand the basics as well as the advanced concept of research and publication. Dr. Meenakshi Devi, FASC also shared her insights on the need and importance of such a kind of FDP cum Workshop for the emerging and budding researchers. Dr. Khushboo Chandra, FASC proposed the vote of thanks to all the dignitaries and participants.
