SGT University to Host National Conclave on NEP 2020 and Indian Education Reforms

Gurugram: SGT University is set to host a prestigious national-level Higher Education Leaders Conclave in 2025, focusing on the role of the National Education Policy (NEP) 2020 in reshaping Indian education. This day-long event will bring together vice chancellors, policy experts, academic leaders, and government officials from across the country.

Themed “Reimagining Indian Education: Legacy, Policy, and Nation-Building in the Light of NEP 2020,” the conclave will be held at the university’s A Block Shooting Floor from 9:30 AM to 5:30 PM.

The inaugural session will be chaired by Padma Bhushan awardee Shri Ram Bahadur Rai, Chancellor of SGT University, with an introductory address by Prof. Dr. Hemant Verma, the university’s Vice Chancellor. Keynote addresses will feature prominent speakers such as Shri Najeeb Jung, Prof. Pawan Kumar Singh (IIM Trichy), Prof. Yogesh Singh (Delhi University), among others.

The agenda will include parallel thematic sessions on key NEP topics, including:

  • Education as a Social Transformer

  • Institutional Innovation and Academic Freedom

  • Indian Knowledge Traditions and Language Pedagogy

  • STEM Education and Skill Missions

Additionally, a high-level roundtable consultation will discuss a concrete path forward for implementing the NEP. The conclave will conclude with a valedictory session and the official launch of the book “Educating India: Colonialism and Indigenous Knowledge Traditions” by Dr. Amit K. Suman, published by Bloomsbury.
