Delhi: DU Student Attacked with Acid by Three Men in Ashok Vihar

In a shocking incident in the national capital, a 20-year-old Delhi University student was attacked with acid in the Ashok Vihar area on Monday. This assault has once again raised serious concerns about women’s safety in Delhi.

According to reports, the victim, a student at Laxmibai College, was on her way to attend extra classes when three men — identified as Jitender, Ishan, and Arman — stopped her and threw acid at her. Jitender, the main accused, had allegedly been stalking her for several months.

Fortunately, the student was able to protect her face, but she sustained severe burn injuries to her hands. She was immediately taken to a nearby hospital, where she is currently receiving treatment.

Police officials have confirmed that a case has been registered and investigations are underway. A search is ongoing for the accused, and the police are reviewing CCTV footage from the area to trace their movements.
