SGT University Launches Kiran Bedi Leadership Learning Program to Foster Ethical Leadership Among Students
SGT University has embarked on a transformative journey to cultivate future leaders by signing a Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with the Navjyoti India Foundation and the India Vision Foundation. This collaboration marks the launch of the Kiran Bedi Leadership Learning (KBLL) Program, aimed at nurturing ethical and purpose-driven leadership skills among students.
The KBLL Program emphasizes experiential learning, community engagement, and value-based education, providing students with hands-on exposure to real-world challenges. This initiative encourages students to develop practical solutions while fostering a strong sense of social responsibility.
Designed as a one-month immersive experience, the KBLL Program extends beyond traditional classroom teaching. It focuses on ethical decision-making, problem-solving, and service-oriented leadership, bolstered by mentorship and practical engagement opportunities.
To commemorate the launch, the university hosted a workshop titled “Structured Mind, Ethical Actions & Effective Leaders.” The event gathered students, faculty, and thought leaders and featured keynote speaker Dr. Kiran Bedi, whose illustrious journey in public service continues to inspire many.
During her address, Bedi underscored the significance of purposeful leadership and urged students to take initiative in creating positive change. She emphasized that true leadership is defined by one’s choices and actions, encouraging young minds to venture beyond their comfort zones in pursuit of meaningful solutions.
Prof. Dr. Hemant Verma, Vice-Chancellor of SGT University, also spoke at the event, highlighting the critical role of integrity, empathy, and responsibility in effective leadership. He noted that this collaboration reflects the university’s commitment to preparing future-ready leaders equipped with strong values and innovative thinking.
With the introduction of the KBLL Program, SGT University aims to empower students to lead with purpose, contribute positively to society, and drive impactful change, reinforcing the importance of ethical leadership in today’s dynamic world.
