PM Modi Launches Bharat Innovates 2026 in France
Prime Minister Narendra Modi unveiled the Bharat Innovates 2026 conclave in Nice, France, on Sunday, positioning India as a nation that is no longer just adopting technology but is actively creating solutions for the world. The event was co-inaugurated by PM Modi and French President Emmanuel Macron and brought together startups, innovators, venture capitalists, and industry leaders from various countries.
In his address to the assembly, the Prime Minister noted that India has undergone a remarkable transformation over the past decade. While the world once viewed India primarily as a technology adopter, it is now emerging as a technology provider capable of developing solutions that can benefit millions worldwide.
The three-day conclave, scheduled from June 14 to June 16, aims to connect Indian innovators with global investors, research institutions, and industry experts. This platform is designed to encourage collaboration and facilitate the entry of innovative ideas into international markets.
PM Modi commended the young entrepreneurs in attendance, describing them as representatives of a confident and dynamic India. He emphasized how Indian startups are leveraging emerging technologies to address real-world challenges. For instance, some innovators are using artificial intelligence to enhance life in rural communities, while others are employing satellite technology to assist farmers and boost agricultural productivity.
Labeling innovation as part of India’s civilizational identity, the Prime Minister remarked that the country’s contributions to fields such as mathematics, astronomy, medicine, and yoga have benefited humanity for centuries. He added that today’s innovators are continuing that legacy with modern technologies and fresh ideas.
The conclave also serves as a platform for strengthening cooperation between India and France in innovation, entrepreneurship, and technology. With global investors and business leaders in attendance, the event provides Indian startups an opportunity to showcase their capabilities on an international stage.
As India continues to expand its startup ecosystem and technological prowess, Bharat Innovates 2026 reflects the country’s ambition to play a significant role in shaping the future of global innovation.
