SGT University Hosts School Mental Health Conclave 2026 in New Delhi

The School of Behavioral Sciences at SGT University, in collaboration with Expression India, successfully organized the School Mental Health Conclave 2026 on July 9, 2026, at the India Habitat Centre located on Lodhi Road, New Delhi. This day-long event brought together educators, psychologists, school leaders, academicians, and mental health experts to discuss an essential aspect of modern education: student well-being.

Under the theme “Perception to Performance: Schools as Catalysts of Change,” the conclave focused on how schools can go beyond academics to actively support emotional health, resilience, and life skills actively. Throughout the event, speakers emphasized the growing need for educational institutions to foster environments where students feel safe, confident, and supported at every stage of their learning journey.

The program included keynote addresses from leading experts, engaging panel discussions, networking sessions, and an open forum that encouraged participants to exchange ideas and share practical experiences. These conversations explored ways to integrate mental health awareness into everyday school practices and to strengthen the roles of teachers, counselors, and parents in supporting children.

A key highlight of the conclave was the participation of school leaders and educators from various institutions who shared their insights on the challenges schools face today and the measures being taken to promote positive mental health. The discussions underscored the importance of resilience, emotional intelligence, and life skills as essential components of holistic education.

The event reflected SGT University’s ongoing commitment to fostering meaningful dialogue on issues that directly impact students and society. By collaborating with Expression India, the university created a platform for experts and educators to come together, exchange knowledge, learn from each other’s experiences, and explore practical solutions for improving mental health in schools.

As the conclave concluded, participants left with fresh ideas, valuable insights, and a shared commitment to making schools healthier and more inclusive spaces. The discussions reinforced a simple yet powerful message, “When student well-being is prioritized, learning becomes more meaningful, benefiting both individuals and communities in the long run”.
