Induction programme for MD, MS students held at SGT University

An Induction training session was organized for the postgraduate MD and MS 1st year students of Batch- 2021 from 12.05.2022 to 18.05.2022 in the Hospital Auditorium, 4th Floor, SGT Medical College, Hospital & Research Institute by the Training and Development Cell.
The session was started with a welcome address given by the Dean, Faculty of Medicine and Health Sciences. During the induction programme, the students were given an introduction to the College and the University, all the Medical Specialities Departments, the Surgery and the allied specialities department and the pre and para-clinical departments by the heads of the departments. They were trained on communication skills and the code of conduct in the hospital.
The students were also given training on NABH, Quality Control, Quality care and the Universal Precautions and Biomedical Waste Management. They were also informed about the COVID Protocol being followed in the hospital. The students were trained by AHA Certified trainer i.e. Dr. Baljit Singh, Head Anaesthesia in Basic Life Support. A session was also organized on ethics in publication and research methodology for the students.
The closing of the Induction training was done by Director of Hospital Administration who emphasised the need to focus on the patient’s safety and quality care by the doctors.
