SGT University’s Sunil Jaglan features in an episode of Mann Ki Baat
Sunil Jaglan, Outreach Advisor at SGT University and the creator of the “Selfie with Daughter” campaign, as been invited to be the guest of honour for the 100th episode of Mann Ki Baat, as a part of a series of episodes organized by the Institute Prasar Bharti of the Ministry of Information and Broadcasting, starting Tuesday.
The “Selfie with Daughter” campaign by Jaglan, which was introduced in Bibipur in 2015, has spread to more than 80 nations and received four mentions from Prime Minister Narendra Modi in his Mann Ki Baat program. PM Modi first mentioned the campaign on June 28, 2015. On November 13, 2015, during his speech in Wembley City, England, he urged Indians living there to join the campaign. On November 27, 2015, he also mentioned the campaign during his speech in Silicon Valley, America.
The “One Book, One Smile” campaign was started by Shri Jaglan in partnership with SGT University, and it involved the collection and donation of hundreds of books to nearby villages by the university’s faculty and students for the purpose of establishing libraries. As a result of Mr. Jaglan’s rural upbringing, SGT University is collaborating with him to run a program called “Samajik Vikas SGT ka Prayas” for development work in a number of nearby villages.
Jaglan, who has launched numerous international campaigns, will be Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s guest at the Mann Ki Baat Conclave. He has already received the invitation for the event, set to take place on April 26th, with Home Minister Amit Shah serving as the chief guest. He expressed his excitement for the event and said he was looking forward to taking part in this illustrious occasion.
On April 27, all honored guests participating in this program will be shown Rashtrapati Bhavan, Duty Path, and the Prime Minister’s Museum. On April 30, the Raj Bhavan in Chandigarh will host the screening of Mann Ki Baat’s 100th episode, which the governor of Haryana, Bandaru Dattatreya, will attend in person.
